The heartache that comes after travel.

Everyone will tell you how amazing traveling is. Everyone will tell you how you will see something new and exciting each and everyday. Everyone will tell you that you will meet amazing people who will have an impact on your life even with 30 second encounters.

But what they don’t tell you is about the heartache that you receive when you’re back at home.

Nobody tells you about the emotions you will feel when you return back to home. Nobody tells you that you feel lost afterwards. Nobody tells you that sometimes “home” doesn’t feel like “home” anymore. Nobody tells you that you’ll want to leave again as soon as you touch foot back home. Nobody tells you that you’ll lay awake at night thinking about memories from your travels. Nobody tells you how much you’ll miss the people you have met, the different foods you have ate, and the things you have seen. Nobody tells you that you’re constantly feeling nostalgic, constantly longing for the sensation you feel while traveling.

Nobody tells you that you’ll become addicted to traveling – and that when you’re not traveling…your heart aches.
